FAQ

Questions people ask first

The things worth knowing before you open the app, answered plainly, including the ones with awkward answers.

Cost and access

Does Yielna cost anything?

No. Browsing pools, reading a market, comparing two pools and running the simulator are all free, and none of it asks for an account.

Yielna takes no fee on deposits or withdrawals. What you pay is what any on-chain action costs: network gas, and whatever a swap or bridge charges when your route needs one. Those are shown in the quote before you sign.

Do I need a wallet?

Not to look around. The dashboard, the market intelligence layer, the watchlist and the comparison tools all work with no wallet connected.

A wallet is asked for in one place only: inside Earn, and only after you have chosen to start a deposit or a withdrawal. It is never requested when the app loads, and never on any other page.

The connection is handled by Privy, an established wallet infrastructure company, rather than by anything Yielna wrote itself. You connect a wallet you already own; no wallet is created for you, and there is no email or social login that would quietly produce one.

Is there an account to create?

Not today. There is no sign-up, no email, and no password. Your watchlist lives in your own browser. The market data connection belongs to Yielna and is shared by every visitor, so there is nothing for you to authorise.

A sign-in with Google or Apple is planned, so a watchlist can survive clearing your browser and alerts can reach you when the app is closed. It will be an email address and nothing else — not a wallet, and no access to your funds. Connecting a wallet stays a separate step in Earn.

Where the numbers come from

Who produces the yield figures?

DeFiLlama. APY, TVL, exposure and risk signals for pools across hundreds of protocols and chains are read from it and presented as they are. Yielna does not compute its own rates, and it does not adjust anyone else's.

The Sky Savings Rate shown in Earn is the exception: that one is read directly from Sky's contracts rather than from an index.

And the market data: price, funding, positioning?

Liquid's Co-Invest, over a single read-only connection. Price, funding, positioning and liquidation clusters for assets that trade there. Every visitor sees the same figures because there is only one connection.

Why does an asset sometimes show no market data?

Because it does not trade on Liquid, and Yielna will not fill the gap with a different asset's numbers.

A pool has a symbol, and a symbol is not an asset. The app resolves the symbol down to something that actually trades, stripping wrappers and following a staked token to its underlying. The exact symbol is always checked first and only an exact match counts, so a wrapper is shown against its underlying only when the wrapper genuinely has no market of its own, and whenever that substitution happens it is labelled on screen. When nothing matches, the app says so.

How current is any of it?

Market data is live. Pool data refreshes on the schedule its source publishes, which is minutes rather than seconds, and is fine for a figure that moves as slowly as an APY.

The one number that never appears anywhere on this marketing site is a price or a rate, precisely because a static page cannot keep one honest.

Earn

What am I actually holding after a deposit?

sUSDS. Your USDC is routed into it, and it accrues the Sky Savings Rate.

It is a vault share, so the count of shares you hold never changes. What grows is the amount they redeem for. A savings balance that looks frozen is behaving exactly as designed, which is why Yielna shows you the redeemable value rather than the share count.

Which stablecoins can I deposit?

USDC today, on every chain Earn supports.

Other stablecoins route through Osero's swap and bridge service, and that service is not enabled on this deployment yet. The app tells you so directly when you pick one rather than failing at the signing step.

How many signatures does a deposit take?

Two on an L2. Four on Ethereum, because the route passes through an intermediate USDS balance.

Nothing is built until you have seen a quote. When you continue, the deposit becomes a concrete list of transactions, and the whole list is shown before anything is sent: what each one does, which contract it touches, and how many signatures to expect. They are then sent one at a time so you can see which one you are approving. Rejecting one stops there. Anything already confirmed stays confirmed, and nothing further is sent.

Can I withdraw to a different chain than I deposited from?

Yes. You choose the destination chain and the asset when you withdraw, and the route is built from where your position actually sits rather than defaulting to Ethereum.

Is the yield real, or a projection?

The rate is Sky's, read from the contracts. The projected annual figure shown beside your balance is that rate applied to your current position, and it is arithmetic on a rate that Sky can change. It is not a promise, and it is not a forecast of what you will earn.

What Yielna will not do

Can it place a trade or open a position for me?

No, and it refuses when asked. The market connection is read-only by construction: there is no order path in the app at all, and a request to open a trade or a position is declined the same way a request for someone's portfolio is.

Is the chatbox an AI?

No. It runs on rules over the market data. It answers what it has, and when it does not have something it says so rather than producing a plausible sentence. There is no language model behind it.

Will it tell me what to buy?

No. It shows you funding, positioning and where leverage has piled up so you can tell a crowded yield from a quiet one. Reading that as a risk signal is the intended use. Reading it as a trade signal is not, and nothing in Yielna is financial advice.

Risk

What happens to my deposit if Yielna disappears tomorrow?

Nothing. Your sUSDS is held by your own wallet address, in Sky's contracts, and Yielna is not in the custody path at any point. If this site and the app both vanished you would still hold the position and could redeem it through Sky directly or through any other interface to those contracts.

So where is the actual risk?

In the things Yielna does not control: Sky's contracts and the rate they set, Osero's routing, and the bridges a cross-chain route uses. Smart contract risk and de-peg risk are real and are not removed by the interface you reach them through.

The security page sets out what the app touches and what it never touches.

Are the yields guaranteed?

No. Rates vary, protocols change them, and past figures do not predict future ones. Yielna reports what the sources say and does not smooth, annualise optimistically, or present a best case as an expectation.
